Commemoration Ceremony Dedicated to the 110th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide

Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Cyprus Inna Torgomyan participated in and delivered remarks at the commemoration ceremony marking the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The event was organized by the Cyprus Commemoration Committee at the Armenian Genocide Monument, located within the grounds of the Holy Mother of God Cathedral in Nicosia.

The ceremony was attended by Annita Demetriou, President of the House of Representatives of Cyprus.

Addresses were also delivered by His Eminence Archbishop Komitas Ohanian, Pontifical Vicar of the Armenian Diocese of Cyprus, and Vartkes Mahtesyan, State Representative of the Armenian Community in the House of Representatives of Cyprus.

The keynote speech was given by Costas Mavrides, Member of the European Parliament representing Cyprus.

The choir of the Holy Mother of God Cathedral performed during the event, which concluded with a wreath-laying ceremony.

As part of the commemorative events for the 110th anniversary, on April 24, His Eminence Archbishop Komitas Ohanian led a memorial service in honor of the martyrs of the Armenian Genocide. Additionally, on April 26, a youth march was held in Nicosia.
