Bilateral Relations

General information

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Cyprus were established on 18 March, 1992.

On 2 May 2025, Inna Torgomyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Cyprus, presented her credentials to the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides.

On 21 October 2024, Michael Mavros, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cyprus to the Republic of Armenia, presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan.

Armenia and Cyprus have established three intergovernmental commissions:

  • Intergovernmental Commission on Military and Military-Technical Cooperation (in 2011).
  • Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Industrial, and Technical Cooperation (in 2009).
  • Joint Commission for the Fight Against Organized Crime (in 2008).
