On July 10, Ambassador Inna Torgomyan had a meeting with Dr. Maria Panayiotou, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment of the Republic of Cyprus. 
 
During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation in the fields of agriculture and environmental protection were discussed, and opportunities for institutionalizing bilateral cooperation in these areas were outlined.
 
Views were also exchanged on the upcoming 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), to be held in Yerevan in October, including the events planned within its framework.
